Oh lord. Jackson wasn't a bad pick given the circumstances. Cassel was sadly the best option at the time unless you wanted Sanchez. Not paying your #2 CB more than your #1 is a smart move. You overrate Dalton, and haven't given Baldwin a chance to develop. Quinn is better than Cassel, the competition is rigged. KC isn't exactly the sexy landing spot that coaches or players want to go to. Haley could be a good HC in the future, but he currently oversteps his boundries just like Pioli.

Its on coincidence that Wintson, Hali, Flowers, DJ, Berry and actually basically everyone sucks. They didn't just completely drop off in a mad decline at their young ages. THE TEAM HAS GIVEN UP! This is the same roster it was in the summer when many outsiders thought it was the most talented roster in the AFC West.

The 49ers were also projected to do very well a few years ago, and they flopped. Coach was fired, and the team played for their new coach, and look at them now. The pieces are here besides a QB, and this team knows its pointless when Cassel is just regessing.

The difference with the 49ers is that the HC has complete control over players on the field. If you actually believe it when Pioli said he has no influence on game day lineups then you are crazy. If KC has the talent you say they do then KC would be a very sexy landing spot if it werent for us having a control freak GM. This team wont get better if the GM doesnt step aside and get a decent coaching staff and let them do their jobs. Sort of like Dallas I think just that its a meddling owner instead of GM.

and if you have a team full of player that give up because they dont like a player it might be a sign of a team full of guys with no heart that dont give a shit anyway. doesnt sound like a recipe for future seccess to me

This team needs a coach like Harbaugh..someone who's energetic and a great leader. Romeo isnt that.

Just read Cleveland may be after Gruden. Gonna be sad if Cleveland becomes a better organization than KC. New owner-- GM may be out-- Coach probably gone. All 3 of those things would be great here in KC.

Nick Saban anyone? He wanted Drew Brees in Miami, but they gave him Culpepper instead. He did get kinda screwed over by Ricky Williams retiring right before the season started too.

Im really not a big Bill Cowher fan..guy played alot of mediocre seasons in Pittsburgh..lots of ups and downs. He always put competitive teams out there though. Thats about the only good thing about him.

I think Cowher would be great here. His teams were always very tough and very competetive.

Cowher is a pipe dream. I don't want him as a GM, and he wont come just to coach. I doubt he leaves his current gig after this long though.

Holmgren isnt ruling out coaching again. as long as that is all he wants to do I'd be okay with it. I do think it has to be a name this time or they will will lose a shit load of season ticket holders.

Mike Holmgren wants to coach again with no GM duties. I think he would be the most interesting option of the retread coaches.

Id still prefer Gruden but like Holmgren too. Not sure Pioli is going to be able lo land anybody with a name though. Perception is reality in this business and seems people dont want Pioli as a boss. I think they will be stuck with another coordinator or a college coach wanting to make the move up. Dont see it being a splash hire. So if they dont find a way to win some games this year I see many season ticket holders not renewing next year if they keep Pioli. That is why I would prefer them to lose out. Lose out and Hunt has to fire Pioli and maybe then you get a real HC and GM to work togther and land a real QB.

Pioli might have to bring Bill Parcells out of retirement to coach this team. I bet Crennel would stay as DC for that.

Not happening though.

Crennel wouldnt stay. Why stay when you can still get what is owed to you as a HC from KC and still go draw a check as a DC somwhere else?

It doesn't exactly work like that. He would make the same no matter where he goes, KC would only have to pay the difference.

Id like to see someone challenge that in the courts if that is true. If you have a contract with somebody and they terminate it they pay you the remaining balance. Your next contract with another business should have nothing to do wiith it. especially being a totally different position.
