Dexter McCluster injury update isn't bad news

The news on Dexter McCluster and his injury are in and it's encouraging. KC Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said on Wednesday that McCluster would be limited in practice, which is a good sign considering how nasty his injury looked.

By placing him limited, it suggests McCluster has a shot to play this weekend against the San Diego Chargers.

"Dexter has got an elbow and he'll be out there," Crennel said, via comments sent out by the Chiefs, "and he's going to be limited. We will not contact him. We're not going to have contact today anyway because they're not putting on pads today, but he'll be out there trying to see what he can do."

When you couple this with McCluster saying on Facebook earlier in the week that he's "feeling good" then I think you have to be encouraged. I was worried this would be a season-ending situation but it's not.

We'll have a better idea of McCluster's status later in the week but if I had to guess now he'll be limited every day and then questionable on Friday. We'll see what the Chiefs decide to do with him.

Wow! That's good news about McCluster. I thought he seriously missed up that elbow.

I added a pole, and getting McCluster back would be real nice.

If the Chiefs win this game, we are in first place in the AFC West!

I picked the Chiefs to win this week. Everything is falling in the right place.

The Chiefs have some momentum coming into this game, with a seemingly unstoppable run game.
If our D-line and O-line play just like they did last week then we should have no problem winning this game.
Also, Phillip Rivers always lays a duck at Arrowhead and let me tell you, the fans are gonna be LOUD this week. Coming off a big win, playing a division rival, AND playing for first place in the division.

The defense needs to step up a lot earlier this year than it did last year. Our offense also needs to do its part, which having Charles back helps a lot... but Cassel still ties its hands.

According to some Houston doesn't have any talent b/c he wasn't drafted by Carl. Of course Carl's drafting without Herm doesn't leave a pretty picture. He actually has more than Tamba in that same stretch. Tamba has 6 during his last 9 games. Actually Tamba has 6 sacks during his last 11 games.

All those players were also busts, until they played for Pioli/Haley down the road. But Pioli's guys don't get time to develop.

I liked Herm. I wish Pioli would've given him a shot. Although Herm ran some 3-4 he was a 4-3 guy and thats why I'm sure he didn't get the job.

I wish we could of kept him as a DB coach. Could you imagine how good our DBs could be with Herm coaching them?? Also he would help out a lot in the draft room.

Chargers win this game.

Beating the Saints was nice and im glad we got a win, but it wasnt an impressive win. Our kicker put up 18 of our points against the worst defense in the league by far. The fact that we struggled to still find the endzone against the worst defense in the league isnt good.

If we can get the run game going, we'll have a chance, but with Cassel back there, its going to be tougher than alot of people think.

I'm taking the Chiefs at home. I'm hoping that Lewis and McCluster are back.

We def have a chance. There is really only 1 game left they have absolutely no chance in and that is Ravens. If Pittsburgh is healthy maybe that one too. So I guess every ody is praying 8-8 or 9-7 is good enough to win the West. So say they do win it at 8-8. They have no chance at SB. So you then draft in the twenties. Still a QB away from any chance at SB so how do they get that guy? They give up more than Washington did for RG3 to move up? The big names will either be gone by then or stay in school to improve draft stock. L. Jons may fall back but that would be a terrible pick. Maybe Manuel but I still think he will be the big riser this year. So eventually we are gonna have to give up picks to get the franchise guy.

We have to do a better job of stopping Rivers to have a chance. Hali and Houston better put his ass in the ground.

Chargers O Line has alot of questions. Apparently they havent been good this season. Houston and Hali are gonna have to get to Rivers. Hopefully Cassel doesnt throw an interception on a screen pass this time.

Also Bowe is listed as questionable but is expected to play.

6 fucking turnovers today! Its amazing they are even still in this game. Give props to the D for stepping up. Pitoui with 2 sacks today. We need to leave Dorsey inactive more often.

34-13. Game over! Even with 5 turnovers we had a chance. Cassell overthrows Bowe wide open down the sideline. Cassell is the joke of this team.

I've always said we're a QB away from the Super Bowl. Playoffs still aren't out of the question this year since we play in the AFC West.

This defense is the best defense ever assembled because Pioli assembled it. If we had a QB our defense wouldnt be giving up 34 pts a game. If we had a QB this would probably be the best defense ever in the NFL.
