and signed center center Bryan Mattison.

I think we are better off with Allen at OG and Lilja at Center. But I think we will be even better off next year with Allen at OG and Hudson at Center.

I've wanted to move Lilja to center since he came here. But Hudson was a nice addition after that.

Allen and Lilja seemed to be a good combo. Lilja actually looked liked he belonged while in the role. I hate to lose Hudson but if it means getting Allen on the field than we are better off than having Lilja at OG. Allen looked good there on Sunday.

I thought Lilja played great at guard this week. Losing Hudson is big, but at the same time it puts Lilja where he has the ability to play at an almost pro bowl level. Allen looked great too. This line has a lot of chemistry. I also think it helps when your team captain/most experienced O-lineman is the man in the middle. I hope Hudson can learn a thing or two having this season off watching Lilja play at Center. He just wasnt strong enough to hold up the left side of the line. Allen is. End of story.

We seen an upgrade when Allen stepped up for Lilja this year, and Hudson did last year. I think we will be better off with both next year. Plus Asomah continuing to improve(hopefully).

I just remember him getting blown up by Kyle Williams against Buffalo. I seen a couple plays like that against Atlanta and NO. Lilja just doesn't have the strength to anchor the LG spot anymore. However, if Lilja plays well at the center role then he may just have extended his career.

Considering he was one of the weakest lineman at the combine it wouldnt surprise me. I would think strength is an important factor for lineman.

and you forget I have said Pioli made the best draft pick in Chiefs history. So not all picks are bad. But as a whole he is terrible at drafting. There were better players available when we took Jackson. Much , much better TEs when we took Moeaki, and better lineman when we took Allen and Stephenson this year that is for sure. You can say the 09 draft was the worst ever all you want but a great GM should be available to find good players in a bad draft. Even terrible GMs can find players in a loaded draft

Please email Clark and tell him where we can find a GM who hits on every pick. If guys knew these guys would be so good, they wouldn't fall down the draft. Every NFL Owner is dying to know where they can find this great GM you expect Pioli to be.

punter joke the day of the pick, so we won’t go there again.

5) 36.6% Kansas City — We respect the gamble on Dontari Poe, and if Poe comes through it changes everything, but for now we have mediocre grades on Poe so it drags our KC grade down. After Poe, there was a string of players taken, that I’m surprised Scott Pioli took…none that will make an NFL-impact in our estimation. We like the undrafted free agents better than the picks — Cam Holland is our top rated center, and early reports show he was signed by the Chiefs.

If you ever watch the combine, they always show a list of the linemen that bench the most each year. Usually the best is around 40-45 reps. When I watched the combine this year, and they showed that list, none of the lineman with the highest bench press were real factors for any team.

He's just a rookie anyways. Its not like he's not lifting and what he lifted at the combine is going to be his real strength his whole life. Being a lineman isnt just strength, its just as much technique as it is strength.

so in 4 drafts he has hit on 2. Berry and Houston. Actually 3 if you count his best pick in 09 in Succop. but kickers are easy to find. So even 3 in 4 years is bad to me. But if you think its a good ratio then he is great. I like Hudson because he was a Nole but what has he really done yet?

But its no secret both were reaches where they were taken. Everone in America except a few on this site can see that.

Damn you, Poe, for not playing like a hall of fame lineman after 3 games! Damn you to hell!

You say he's a reach, but we just watched him fill in at LG and help spark a record 91 yard run by Jamaal Charles to his side. But he's a reach...so he's not good.

Ryan Leaf had a good game in his career too. Is he good? Funny how I get bashed for judging guys in their 1st couple seasons but you judge based on a good play

You bash guys just by their draft position. Thats all you do. Every pick Pioli has made, you have bashed. Its slowly coming together with this team, you just fail to accept that because youre impatient and expect every pick to be an immediate impact. Thats not how it works.

Jeff Allen
Javier Arenas
Jon Asamoah
Allen Bailey
Jon Baldwin
Eric Berry
Kevin Boss
Steve Breaston
Travis Daniels
Shaun Draughn
Peyton Hillis
Justin Houston
Tyson Jackson
Kendrick Lewis
Ryan Lilja
Dexter McCluster
Tony Moeaki
Dontari Poe
Jerrell Powe
Brady Quinn
Stanford Routt
Brandon Siler
Ryan Succop
Anthony Torbio
Eric Winston
Devon Wylie

Hes brought in a decent little core since coming in. Can't expect a Super Bowl team just a few years after inheriting one of the worst teams in football. There's potential there for great players. It took guys like Hali and DJ longer than Pioli has been here to bust out.
