There will always be an excuse. You are the fans the Hunts want. The ones that wont question a single move they make.

If Buffalo plays like they did against the Jets today then theres no way we lose. If we do somehow lose, it will be because of Cassel and nobody else.

No but they could at least show up. The Falcons never came close to having to punt the ball until the game was completely out of reach. I was never confident that this defense was gonna stop the Falcons. And the Rams beat the hell out of us w/ Hali in the game so I don't think that his presense changes the out come of this game. Flowers absence hurt us more than anything however if Carr were still here it would not have hurt us near as much.

Because Carr would single handedly shutdown Gonzalez, White, and Jones. Right.

We didnt punt until 6 minutes were left in the game ourselves. We missed a crucial FG and they turned Cassels 2 turnovers into points.

LOL. didnt punt til 6 minutes left. thats because Cassel was busy handing the ball to Atlanta the whole 2nd half. much better to turn the ball over than punt.

Probably helps having one of the best QBs in the league.
Guess we should nut up and go get one.

No shit. Cassel sucks. This is the one and only thing we can agree on.

We should have won the division last year even after getting blown out the first two games.

Wise words from a guy at work today before the games even started. "It really doesn't matter what happens today, its essentially pre season still" Teams who win playoff games that didn't win their division are perfect examples of it doesn't matter how you start, its how you finish. The Chiefs have the talent to finish.

You know if it were nearly as easy as you think, it probably would have happened already.

No but if Carr were still here odds are Atlanta's offense would have had at least some resistance as they marched down field. You do realize Carr= good and Routt = bad right. My best friend is a lifetime Raiders fan and he just laughed when the Chiefs signed Routt and said... Good Luck W/ that.

Well with that mentallity... until the Chiefs are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs... then he can continue with his Pioli has single handedly put together the best and youngest roster in the NFL therefore becoming the savior of the Chiefs Nation bullshit rant.

Did I fucking say that???? NO but if we continue to play like shit I still have to read your bullshit about how the sun in Chiefs Nation rises and sets because Pioli allows it to. Yes the Chiefs could get better... but from what I've seen that is HIGHLY unlikely. So far all I've seen is more of the same ol shit. 17 points in a half and 7 more gimme points hardly qualify the Chiefs as contenders. Yes the Chiefs look pretty good for 30 minutes... to bad a game is 60minutes long. But I'm sure you have a seasons worth of excuses to match a seasons worth of Pioli Kool Aid.

2003 Patriots lost 31-0 week 1 and went on to win the Super Bowl.

Bill Belechick and Tom Brady dumbass... we've been over this. Crennel and Cassel are no Belechick and Brady. But I suppose that was all Pioli in '03 huh? I'm done with this you can live in your dream world where Pioli is GOD... I'll stick to reality where he is what his results have proven him to be... the guy who made the Chiefs good enough to beat bad teams but bad enough to lose to everyone else.

Hindsight is 20/20. At the time it was a retread failure former Browns HC and a sixth round draft pick QB who no one expected to be good.

I mean, I'm sure Chiefs09 knew he would be good... but hes the only one.

Im definitely not going to freak out after thsi loss. We got outscored without out best corner, starting free safety, one of the best pass rushers in the league and our starting NT for the game. They picked on whoever DJ had to cover one on one constantly and Reeves. DJ had to cover Roddy White and Gonzalez most of the game we wont do well on defense when he has to do that. Reeves got torched multiple times by White and Jones deep. With Flowers out we couldnt lock up the recievers and forced us to play over the top forcing our ILBs to have to cover underneath more and they got torched. When we get those guys back we will be able to go back to using Reeves and Arenas as Nickel guys as they are meant to be used and our defense will be one of the best in the league.

That is the problem here. Lockett just brought it up on radio as a matter of fact. KC cant afford any injury because they have almost no depth. Albert goes down we are done. Winston goes down we are done. Hali, DJ, Jamaal, Bowe, and on and on. Really the only position we can have a guy go down is QB and that is because all we have is backup QBs. The way players go down with injury you have to have backups that can fill in and still give you a chance.

I think they will come back and we will be fine. But you are right. We have no depth at all. I thought Arenas would be better than he is as a corner by now. Also where the hell was Elam I guess I didnt see him playing. Maybe he was one of the guys suckin it in the d-backfield.

What scares me is our Oline depth is players Pioli took big reaches on this year. He thinks he is outsmarting everybody or something. His ego is gonna be his downfall.

Not worried about DJ. I'm worried if a player like DJ goes down for the year. Any major injuries and this team needs to shoot for top 5 pick like they should have done last year. I dont care that they were 1 game from the division. they werent a threat had they won it.

There are things Pioli could do to address the depth but he isnt doing it. I dont know, maybe it is his ego. The worst positions of depth for us are CB and OL. He should be working to shore those up right now.

We need more depth at LB too.. And I wouldnt mind bringing both Gillberry and Smith back to shore up that D-line and give us some pass rush off the bench.
