First topic message reminder :

by Bill Williamson
Espn

"Kansas City coach Romeo Crennel told reporters Saturday linebacker Derrick Johnson (ankle) should be ready to play and he is hopeful cornerback Brandon Flowers (foot) can possibly play in Week 1 against Atlanta. However, safety Kendrick Lewis (shoulder) is likely not going to be able to play."

"If the Chiefs are looking for a temporary pass-rushing burst with Tamba Hali out for Week 1 with an NFL suspension, they could turn to former Chief Wallace Gilberry. He was cut by Tampa Bay."

Thats good news to hear about Flowers and DJ. I don't get what the hell is wrong with Flowers foot.

and to say stafford wasnt available to the Chiefs is stupid. RG3 wasnt available to Washington this year but where is he playing and why? because even though they havent had a lot of success recently they are trying. Hunt and Pioli dont give a damn if KC wins or not as long as they find a way to get fans to believe they are and they get butts back in the seats.

The Lions wouldn't have passed up Stafford if you would've given them 10 - 1st round picks. I do agree that trading to the top of the draft was alot harder than it is today.

Jackson wasnt a top 15 pick going into that draft so you cant just take players from the back of that 1st round off because they would have been reaches. Jackson was a reach himself. So he reached on the wrong guy. And yes I would have been dead wrong had we drafted my fav player in Curry no doubt. But it now looks like the mocks were right. a ton of them had us taking Raji and whether you want to admit it or not he is better. and we wouldnt have been in the position to reach once again this year like we did.. Raji/Hightower would be better than what we have now. then you ask where we get our DE? Like Rust said he does 1 out of the 3 things hes supposed to do well. for much less than 5 years 57 million and 31 guaranteed I doubt it would have been hard to find one that does 1/3 of his job.

I added this in an edit so I will ask it again. Are you telling me that you can consistantly pick the 1 out of 10 player without knowing how their going to turn out? If you can then you need to get your certificate from Sports Management Worldwide and rock the fuck on! The best in the business are no where near that good. I don't know the stats but I would be surprised to learn that the best in the business do much better than 50% lifetime.

But hey if you guys are happy with mediocrity all the power to you. you have the right to your opinion just as I have the right to want more. 9-7 average and picking middle of the pack every year isnt bad.

He hasn't "reached" on anyone. Jackson was projected to go there, and the talent level of picks 2-16 was the same. Baldwin was a first round WR. Poe was projected by many to go to us.

If anything he "reached" on a safety, because thats a high pick for that position. Which I don't have a problem with, hes a great player.

Also having one of the most talented rosters in the NFL isn't mediocre, so just quit. You are completely in the wrong in this... and its getting real sad watching you reach.

Its not a reach when its the worst draft in NFL history, and essentially all the draft picks at the top of the draft are mid to late picks any other year.

Chiefs09 is right every year though! Curry would have been a God if he came to KC.

Whats funny is I wanted Tyson Jackson that year. Yeah I wanted to trade down for him if we could, but its someone I wanted. And its also someone who ended up being one of the better picks in that draft.

Last off season he was all about how we should have drafted Raji instead, but then Tyson Jackson does better than Raji last year.

We should have drafted Clay Matthews because he's really good now and Pioli didnt draft him so Pioli is an idiot. Stoopid Pioli.

Pioli has 1 good drafted player. and we dont know how hes gonna be going forward after ACL. but i still give him that. other than that real talent on this team was already in place so this thought that Pioli is a talent evaluating god is stupid. he drafts for need with no consideration to BPA he doesnt care if its 7th round talent he takes at pick 3. that is what will be his downfall if Hunt ever gets a clue.

Only you are smart enough to rate players right after they are developed, and not give them the multiple years it takes for them to develop.

Tom Brady should have taken over for Drew Bledsoe immediately in New England.

Bust.

Peyton Manning had more interceptions than touchdowns his rookie year.

Bust.

Brandon Carr got burned quite a bit his rookie season.

Bust.

Routt has been burned quite a bit his whole career. save a little money for Clark and let Carr walk. and Brady Bellichek is what has made NE. Pure luck is what made them a dynasty. Brady probably would have never seen the football field had Bledsoe not had a freak accident.
this NE way crap is just that... crap. Peyton Manning wasnt 2nd team little league conference coming in either like Poe. he couldnt even dominate competition that couldnt make most high school teams around here. Jackson has had plenty of time to prove himself and he has. proven himsel to be terrible.

Routt gets burned a lot? Are we talking about the same Stanford Routt who had the second lowest burn rate in the NFL in 2010 behind only Revis among starters?

you can talk burn rate just like you can talk rus stop rate. Routts best number arent even close to Carrs worst. just like our best rated runstoppers were part of the 26th ranked run stop d in the league. Oh yeah I forgot they play on the field a minute and a half longer than the other teams D because of our O.

Brandon Carr came out of Grand Valley State. Miles Austin came out of Monmouth. There is talent at smaller schools.

Youre probably one of those guys that absolutely loves Tim Tebow. Then when somebody gives you stats and actual logic as to why Denver won you call them a hater.

So you want to try flipping it around, because again you are wrong about Routt getting burned a lot. Who cares what "numbers" a CB puts up. You realize when you put up a lot of tackles, that usually means you're on a bad team right?

when you are 26th against the run your corners are gonna be tackling a lot of RBs. I was talking pass def. routt will be the most penalized CB in the league and get burned all day on sundays

Do you understand how having a guy like Poe clogging everything up in the middle is going to open everything else up?? More blockers on Poe = more lanes = better pass rush = more incompletions/sacks/interceptions
