Hearing Chiefs could trade for Matt Moore from Miami. Or sign recently released Brian Hoyer from NE.

Matt Moore would be the most likely I would think. But maybe they don't want to give anything up giving Hoyer the edge. Bringing in a QB means the Stanzi project has failed though. Hoyer isn't too impressive though. I'd rather have his former teammate Stanton.

Every franchise QB the Chiefs have had played college in the state of Indiana... and none were drafted by the Chiefs. Quinn or Clausen!

Josh Johnson is available.

He'd be a great pickup. Lot of 49rs fans arent happy about cutting him.

Matt Moore probably since he already knows the offense and Daboll. But I wouldn't mind giving Josh Johnson a look see. We have done ok with 49er rejects in the past lol.

Nice to see KC fans shooting for the stars. I always wondered why KC fans (football and baseball) have had the reputation of accepting (or being fine with I guess) mediocrity. After looking over several message boards it isnt hard to see. Many die hard Royals fans love Dayton Moore and think he can do no wrong. He hasnt done anything. Same for many Chiefs fans. They automatically assume everything Pioli does turns to gold when in truth only a couple moves have panned out. Must be a midwest thing. We dont demand anything of our franchises and just go with the flow

If you love mediocracy, its Carl you love, not Pioli.

There also isn't much to pick from right now, so I don't know why you're upset. You just don't like improving as much as we can?

Mike Kafka generating interest on waivers

Posted by Evan Silva on September 1, 2012, 12:38 PM EDT

AP
Quarterback Mike Kafka was waived Friday evening after the Eagles unsuccessfully attempted to trade him, but that doesn’t mean no one wants him.

Tim McManus of the Birds 24/7 Blog reports that Kafka has generated interest from the Chiefs, Patriots, Packers, and Browns since Friday’s roster move.

Kafka, a fourth-round selection in the 2010 draft, appeared in just one preseason game due to a fracture in his non-throwing hand. He’s expected to be healthy now and could compete for a No. 2 quarterback job on one of the above listed teams.

Kafka and Brian Hoyer, who was cut by the Patriots on Friday, are the two most interesting quarterback names currently on waivers. Kafka may be a bit more appealing to teams because he’s owed minimum base salaries in 2012 and 2013. The cost to claim Hoyer would be $1.927 million, the price of his restricted free agent tender.

Okay then explain what Pioli has done to prove otherwise that is proven. What moves has Pioli made that have absolutely panned out and proven to be great ones to date?

Carl was a nutcase towards the end of his time no doubt, but early on he put together some of the best teams in the entire league. His issue was being too loyal to a bad coach.

Back to this shit again! You went from this to having a great roster and now back to Pioli hasn't done shit mode. Your hilarious! Relax and wait for the regular season before you blow a gasket.

We do have a goood roster overall be it is Piolis QB that is keeping it from reaching its potential. Defensively Berry is the only good player that is Piolis. Pioli could make this team a legit SB contender if he would admit his big mistakes in Cassel and Jackson. Problem is Cassel will probably get another contract from Pioli after this year. Maybe I am wrong but arent a lot our weapons right now Carls? I'll look it up later

He took arguably the worst roster in the NFL, and about three years later has one of the most talented rosters in the NFL...

Only thing Pioli has fucked up has been the Cassel trade.

While we are still better off with Cassel than almost any other QB we had a chance at getting... Manning passed on us, and no one knows the Orton Story. But rumor was he wasn't resigning before the season ended... and we all know he didn't wanna come here in the first place.

Orton said it himself on his way out. This was Cassels team and it wasnt gonna change. Turns out he was right they let him walk since he was legit competition and bring in someone that was never a serious threat

I was just bringing that up for the ones that blast Carl. His only great move so far is Berry. Jackson is a bust whether anyone wants to admit it yet or not. Baldwin is still an unknown. Poe is a project drafted at 11. So again what great things has he done yet? He is treated like a god already by the fan base and truth is he has done absolutely nothing yet

Nearly everyone in the Jackson draft was a bust, quit trying to bring that up because you are clearly wrong. The few players you point to as being better were drafted later than anyone projected, just like Brady was better than nearly anyone in his draft. And no, Raji isn't better than Jackson.. he just got good first.

And I'm not saying it is a bad roster. this team is loaded with talent. Most of it before Pioli got here though. If Pioli could spot even an average QB this offense would be better than GB, NE, NO, Detroit or anybody else. A bust DE and a project NT at 11? Berry great pick but obvious since he was the best player in the draft. Baldwin has the talent to be a greatr pick no doubt but as of yet is still an unknown. My only question is outside of Berry what do we know for sure Pioi has done great outside of Berry? Then after you honestly answer that why do so many think he is a god?

How about the drafting of Jackson, Dex, Baldwin, Hudson, Arenas, Berry, Aso, Powe, Poe, etc? Some players are going to be absolute studs and some are just going to be good rotation players. I know your homer hate for Jackson but I have seen glimpes this preseason of a player that very well could have a breakout year. I have noticed several really nice pass rushes where he went around the end or took his player and planted there ass in the backfield. We will have to wait and see how he does this season to know for sure one way or another. How about the FA signings of Winston, Boss, Hillis, Route? How about the resigning of Charles, DJ, Hali, and Flowers? How about putting Hali and DJ in schemes that made good players, great players? The only thing I have against him at this point is the trade for Cassell. You can't really blame him for making that trade when you look at what else was available. I just hope we find a damn replacement in the near future!
