I'm actually really starting to warm up to Luke Kuechly... I think hes my second choice behind DeCastro and those are really the two I'd prefer. But its crazy that DeCastro is rated at 24 here.

Wow surprised DeCastro is that low. And I have been hearing alot of noise about Fletcher Cox lately. Even seen a mock of us taking him.

I was just on NFL.com and all three experts had us taking Kuechly in their mocks. One of them also went to say adding him would give us the best LB core of any 3-4 defense with him and DJ inbetween Hali and Houston.

We need a run stuffing ILB...I tend to think Keuchly is more of a pass rusher in the form of a DJ..I think we stick with DeCastro and have one of the best OL in the league..lol

I don't know that I believe in all that. It's very possible that Kuechly could be just as good a run stuffer as Hightower even despite the size difference. I used to play Semi Pro with a 245 LB that blew up an OG that actually got drafted in the NFL but didn't make it. I'm actually glad I didn't have to play him in a real game because he would have absolutely been a handful. It's all how Kuechly plays, and I haven't watched him enough to know.

Hightower is definitely the more physical force between him and Kuechly. In my opinion, Kuechly made most of his plays making up for his team's terrible defense and Hightower simply made himself a force to be reckoned with in the Alabama defense which allowed the talent around him to make all the plays.

Hightower will feel right at home in Kansas City and will be surrounded by talented players like Eric Berry, DJ, Hali, Flowers and fellow run stoppers Dorsey and Jackson. Kuechly is just too similar of a playmaker to DJ to have as much of an impact that Hightower could...but again I said that about Justin Houston and Tamba Hali last year.

I agree with this...Hightower is the better fit, but Kuechly is the better player...We need stoutness in the ILB role...
