Orton would be a nice option, but it will fuck up our chances of getting a QB in the draft. Thats why I'm of the opinion to call this year a fucked up wash. Make everyone jobs safe, get a QB in the draft and get everybody healthy. Let next year be Haleys judgement.

So much for losing out and getting a QB prospect. I guess Orton is 29 and will be 30, if he works out he would give us a 3 to 4 year window. I think he will be better than Cassell and he didn't cost us any picks like the Raiders paid to get Palmer.

If we let him walk at the end of the year, we get a draft pick out of the deal. He also helps give us information against the Broncos this year. Hopefully this doesn't stop us from drafting a first round QB, but if it does... I guess Stanzi does have all the tools... hopefully sitting back for a few years helps him.

I say we cut Cassels lame duck ass after this season..Sign Orton to a multi year deal and cut Palko soon after. Keep Orton as the starter, Stanzi as the 2nd, and draft or sign a 3rd unless we just move Palko to the 3rd which I'd settle for. Im pretty stoked for this Orton era to start. Itll be interesting to see what our offense is like with a real gunsligner.
