This is Mocking Dan's Top 100 of his actual Top 200. If the Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli was parsing Dan's list from www.mockingthedraft.com who would we, could we, and should we look at? Lets dissect the best 2011 NFL Draft talent by scheme, then by need, then we will have a good criteria in place for the first three rounds of the Chiefs Draft. We have picks number 21, 55, and 88 around 122, 150, 154, 186, and 218 (ballparkish) as we sit today. So lets go

Lets eliminate the 4-3 defensive players and the Power Scheme blockers.

I think that if we dont sign a guy like Rogers to hold down the NT spot we should draft Taylor. The guy could be a monster in the middle for us.

Shaun Smith has done a "decent" job. We REALLY REALLY REALLY need another pash rusher (did I stress that enough?). But getting one that can be multi-faceted (line up as DE, some zone) to compliment Tamba. Our run defense is only horrible in the playoffs, ROFL.

It's the short passing game that has killed us. If you don't believe me just ask John McGraw how he likes Todd Heap? I saw every catch that clown gave up to Heap.

Another thing, it would be AWESOME to sign Champ Bailey as a safety like he wants (to extend his career) but he bleeds orange and blue and would probably go play for the Ravens after Ray Lewis has been recruiting him and probably sending him Old Spice commercials on DVD in a Bath n Body Works man-basket. Anyways, just wishful thinking.

Kerrigan is the only one that could be even close. Miller is going top 10 if not top 5. Taylor wont go out of 30's.

Love that Kerrigan kid. He's a well rounded DE that would easily convert to OLB and has a motor that never stops. He reminds me a bit of Clay Matthews. Not as quick but will scratch, claw, kick, bite....to get to the QB. He causes a LOT of turnovers. I wish we could trade up for Von Miller but I would be completely satisfied with this kid. Take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=St9j5K6STws

Kerrigan is still my first choice. Pioli is 1 for 2 on guys I wanted in the 1st. I hope he makes it 2 for 3 and doesnt make a huge reach like he did with Bust Jackson. Taylor would also be a great pick this year.
